Cumulus is a design firm composed of 35 architects, designers, and planners. They’ve built a reputation for innovative design and adaptive reuse by collaborating across offices in Melbourne, Adelaide, Hobart, and Launceston.
Although in high demand, Cumulus acknowledged that, in an increasingly competitive design world, they needed a brand that reflected who they were and what they did — something that the entire firm could unite around.
The new branding represents the ever-evolving cloud of ideas as well as the cumulative, collective dialogues about design and the environment. With a constantly changing word-mark and typographic word clouds that represent the essential ideas of projects, the visual identity adapts to its surroundings. A rigid horizontal grid, inspired by cloud elevations, underpins the brand.
The new identity correctly communicates the ever-changing brands ideas, approach and the cumulative, collective conversations between design and environment.
